A gift for music.
A passion for sharing.
At age six, Jeff found himself drawn to his grandparent’s piano, and spent hours listening to the sound of each key stroke while looking for patterns in the notes he played. While most children bang away at piano keys relishing the noise, Jeff was different. At a young age, he began stringing notes together to create rudimentary compositions. And after six years of piano lessons, he came to realize that his true passion lies not in learning to play the music created by others, but in creating his own.
Although initially inspired to leave to his daughters a legacy of creative work, Jeff soon realized that his compositions have the power to uplift and bring pleasure and joy to anyone who appreciates music. He saw that his talent for composing music is a gift meant to be shared with others. Thus, what began as a “hobby” has over time become Jeff’s driving force, and he hopes that others will enjoy listening to his music as much as he enjoys creating it.
Like his own musical journey, Jeff’s compositions don’t follow a linear path. When Jeff sits down at the piano to compose an original piece, he begins with seemingly random notes and chord progressions until a refrain resonates and begins to take hold. These themes evolve into expressive melodies which eventually become compositions that take on a life of their own.
Jeff’s piano compositions are then transformed into fully orchestrated pieces completed in collaboration with an expert arranger/orchestrater and a team of sound designers. Romantic and cinematic in nature, the final compositions create an instrumental experience with strings, brass, wind, and other orchestral instruments, adding layer upon layer to a central theme led by the piano.
For Jeff, musical inspiration can be found everywhere and anywhere — from great concert halls to the sounds of nature to the most moving scenes in our favorite films. It is his pleasure and privilege to be able to share his original music with you.
“Some people love songs for their words. I love songs for their melodic elements, which is perhaps why I write instrumentals: I listen for musical expression, because that’s what I find most uplifts my spirit.”
